We are excited to announce that Resolve Version 6.3 is now available! We hope you’ll love the newest additions as much as we do. The new version delivers enhancements that accelerate and facilitate scaling automation in large, complex IT environments and that help you more quickly maximize the productivity and cost reduction benefits promised by IT automation.

We have worked closely with our customers to deliver new functionality in this release that successfully addresses the ever-expanding list of challenges you face in managing today’s complex IT environments. We hope the new features accelerate your automation journey and help you achieve your goals more quickly. Let’s dig in!

Meet Our New Content Browser: Building New Automations Has Never Been Faster or Easier

The latest release of Resolve makes it easier and faster than ever to build and deploy new automated processes and workflows based on best-practice templates, so you can forget about time-consuming and expensive custom development for each new automation!

A new, intuitive user interface and powerful search capabilities enable you to more easily leverage Resolve’s extensive library of pre-built templates and automations for thousands of different tasks. Using Resolve’s built-in editor, these templates can be quickly customized with minimal effort, speeding the construction and deployment of automated tasks and processes for activities related to server lifecycle management, IT service orchestration, incident resolution, and more.

Get Valuable Insights Into Your Automation Ecosystems with Our New Data Warehousing Capabilities

New data warehousing capabilities in version 6.3 deliver deeper insights into automation ecosystems and IT infrastructure performance at large. Now you can leverage the data warehouse to optimize existing automations across a variety of technologies and to identify high-value opportunities for new automations that address recurring issues within your infrastructure. The data warehouse also provides a foundation for organizations to harness machine learning to further enhance their automation infrastructure.

With an eye to flexibility, Resolve’s data is available via API and can be imported into your favorite third-party data visualization tools, enabling you to take advantage of your current analytics solutions to analyze your IT automation infrastructure.

Enhanced Logging Delivers Deep Visibility into Gateways

Enhanced logging functionality has also been added to the Resolve platform, offering improved visibility across systems that are commonly integrated with Resolve to orchestrate processes, such as ServiceNow, Splunk, and IBM NetCool. Using the new log capture, collection, and browsing capabilities, you can easily explore detailed information to troubleshoot and resolve issues more quickly with integrations between systems, such as:

  • Gateway started, connected, and authenticated
  • Query matched and executed
  • Filter deployed, updated, and more
  • Complete “raw” error messages from connected endpoints

Additionally, you can quickly export logs across all Resolve components, packaged into a single file.

Share Components Across Your Instances with Improved Import / Export in the New Package Manager

We’ve made it simpler than ever to download and move your customized pages, decision trees, forms, and automations across Resolve instances. Your Resolve administrators and developers will love the new Package Manager’s redesigned interface, step-by-step guidance, and a visual map of package dependencies to aid quick inspection and customization. Porting packages across Resolve installations is a breeze with 6.3!
