Can RPA and ITPA Be Friends?

Has automation hit its peak? If you’re looking at business units as silos, then many would argue automation in business processes has met its limits. A process can only be made as efficient as its least automatable task—and that’s usually when a certain part of that process needs to go beyond the barriers of its silo. Leaders, therefore, need to look at automation as a strategy across the organization to achieve truly transformational value.

Automation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and IT Process Automation (ITPA) have each revolutionized the way businesses operate. Leaders are often forced to choose one or the other as the dominant approach to automation in their organization. But those who have achieved enterprise-wide success with automation have seen ITPA and RPA co-exist to allow broad coverage on different types of processes doing what they each do best, but together.

Watch the replay of our March 29, 2023 webinar, where automation thought leaders Rajat Sharma, SVP & Global Head of Technology Eco System and Growth at Zensar; Gabby Nizri, Chief Strategy Officer at Resolve Systems; and Brinda Sreedhar, Director of Product Marketing, also at Resolve Systems, discuss how ITPA and RPA can come together as friends. During this panel discussion, they delve into topics including:

  • A hyper-automation strategy including both ITPA and RPA to achieve greater automation coverage and efficiency
  • Extending the potential of RPA with ITPA to enable the automation of back-end IT processes leading to greater cost savings
  • Common processes that can be transformed when the two automation technologies come together to improve organizational productivity
