Preventing Operational Issues Before They Cascade
A multitude of enterprise organizations already have automation in place, but the problem is that most of those systems operate independently. Service desk teams, infrastructure groups, operations functions, and more often rely on separate tools and workflows, which makes it difficult to coordinate a response to new and emerging issues.
For ML Consulting, this fragmentation became increasingly visible as customers faced growing operational complexity. Remote work and rising service expectations placed additional pressure on already complicated IT environments.
“You might have all the solutions in the world, but if they’re disjointed, then you end up having issues,” explained Karim Saba, Program Manager at ML Consulting. “It creates a cascading effect that impacts operation efficiency, profitability, and user experience.”
Many customers already had automation tools in place, but they were rarely connected in a way that enabled unified operational visibility or coordinated responses. Because of that, teams often discovered problems only after alerts were triggered, or worse, when users were already impacted.
ML Consulting began looking for a way to unify these fragmented environments while enabling more proactive operational management.
Looking Beyond Point Solutions
ML Consulting partnered with Resolve to help their customers move beyond isolated automation initiatives and toward coordinated operational execution.
Rather than focusing on automating individual tasks, Resolve provided a means of orchestrating actions across systems and operational domains. This approach allowed customers to connect monitoring, infrastructure and operational workflows into a more unified process.
For ML Consulting, one of Resolve’s key differentiators is its flexibility across environments and use cases.
“We call Resolve the Swiss Army knife,” Saba said. “You can use it in multiple domains.”
That cross-domain capability became especially important in environments where operational teams were already using numerous disconnected systems. Instead of replacing existing tooling, Resolve empowered organizations to coordinate actions across them.
This allowed ML Consulting’s customers to:
- Connect previously siloed operational systems
- Coordinate automated actions across infrastructure environments
- Improve visibility into operational events and dependencies
- Respond to issues earlier in the incident lifecycle
As operational environments became more distributed and interconnected, this ability to coordinate systems became more critical.
Changing the Operational Model
One of the most significant partnership outcomes ML Consulting observed, was the ability to address issues before they escalated into larger operational problems.
In large telecommunications and infrastructure environments, even relatively small failures can quickly spread across dependent systems if they’re not addressed immediately. Traditional operational models often rely on alerts or notifications before teams begin responding, introducing delays that increase operational risk.
With Resolve, ML Consulting helped customers move toward a more proactive operational model.
“In telecom specifically, we had a case where Resolve managed to help avoid the network going down by detecting the alarm and then remediating the error by coordinating between different systems; before the client’s team received an email informing them about the issue at hand. Prior to the use of Resolve, the network system would have gone into an ordinarily shut-down, which would have resulted in reputational damage and loss of revenue to the organization” Saba explained.
Instead of waiting for alerts and manually coordinating responses, Resolve enables automated remediation to occur earlier in the process. This eliminated the likelihood of cascading failures while improving operational continuity across critical environments.
For organizations managing large-scale infrastructure, proactively resolving issues before users even experience disruption can significantly reduce operational pressure on everyone.
Supporting Operational Resilience Across Complex Environments
As customers continued expanding digital services and remote operations, ML Consulting saw growing demand for a solution that could operate across increasingly complex environments.
Many organizations struggled; not because they lacked tooling, but because existing tools could not coordinate effectively across operational domains.
Resolve addressed this challenge by enabling organizations to act across systems rather than managing incidents in isolated silos. This approach improved operational consistency while reducing the need for manual intervention during high-pressure events.
For ML Consulting, the value of orchestration extends beyond efficiency alone. In multiple environments, maintaining service continuity and avoiding operational disruption are equally important priorities.
A Partner’s Perspective: Connect the Systems Before Problems Escalate
Reflecting on customer outcomes, Saba believes organizations should focus less on adding standalone automation tools and more on ensuring systems can work together effectively.
“When you have a desiloed system, you don’t go down,” he said. “And when you don’t go down, you avoid reputational damage and save millions, improving your organization’s bottom line and customer satisfaction.”
Without coordination between operational systems, even mature environments can struggle to respond quickly when issues arise.
By enabling orchestration across infrastructure, monitoring, and operational workflows, ML Consulting helps customers create a more proactive operational model: one capable of identifying and resolving issues before they escalate into larger disruptions.
As operational complexity grows across enterprise IT environments, the ability to coordinate action across systems is becoming increasingly vital.
